Sponsor a Life
In many parts of Uganda, in the rural villages, suburbs and slums, there are girls or boys, listless from hunger, who have never tasted an egg or had a glass of milk – much less a piece of bread. Such a child if helped through a sponsorship plan can undergo a miraculous change. The children’s rags can be burned. The dirt and sores can be cleaned. Decent clothing can be provided and their first real meal. In the slums around Notre Dame High School and deep in the rural villages, where HIV and AIDS has killed many people, there are child-parented homes, children without food, land, clothing, and education.
With your help, there will be a first reading lesson. Soon the despair is gone and for the first time the child can share with other children a swing, a toy, games, and story-telling hour. Later there may be a spelling bee, a teacher’s hug – and even a piece of bread and a glass of milk.
If you decide to sponsor a child through Notre Dame High School’s program, you will receive your child’s name, picture and a story. You can correspond with him or her, and your child’s original reply with its original translation will be sent to you. Perhaps after a while, you may receive from your child a shy, “I thank you”. The cost of a sponsorship is USD$405 a year, which includes tuition, food at school and medical services.
You will lift a child from hunger and misery and give him/her great happiness; and just as important, an opportunity in this life. Sponsoring is a fulfilling and joyous occasion, not only for the child but for the sponsor too! Your help means literally the world for your child. We thank you in advance.
You can donate any amount (either $15, $30, $80, $200 or other) towards the partial or full US$405 annual cost of sponsorship of a child.
Below you can donate (PayPal or any other credit or bank card) through Kisoboka Trust (our partner in the U.K.) and 100% of your donation will arrive and make an impact in Uganda.
